Young actor Nikhil’s Sankarabharanam (Shankarabharanam) was released today, December 4th, 2015 across the globe. Actress Nanditha Raj plays the female lead in this movie and actress Anjali will be seen in a special cameo in this film. Sankarabharanam movie is based on the backdrop of a crime that happened in Bihar.

Kona Venkat says that this movie is touted to be a comedy entertainer, which was inspired by a real-life crime in Bihar. It is partially inspired by the Hindi movie ‘Phas Gaye Re Obama’ and Kona Venkat bought the remake rights of the movie.

Nikhil’s Sankarabharanam is said to be a crime-comedy entertainer, which was written by Kona Venkat. He said that this movie is going to be a game changer. Powerstar Pawan Kalyan launched the first look poster of this movie and it is heard that he liked the concept and design of this movie

Debutant Uday Nandavanam directed this movie. Kona Venkat took the credit for the story, screenplay, and dialogues while MVV Satyanaryana produced it. Praveen Lakkaraju composed the music.

Kona Venkat selected the classy title ‘Sankarabharanam’ for Nikhil’s next movie. Now, the reason behind this was revealed. There is a place in Rajahmundry called Shankarabharanam Meda. It may be noted here that Kona Venkat hails from Rajahmundry.

Sankarabharanam revolves around a building and it reminded Kona Venkat, a story that happened in Shankarabharanam Meda. So, he named this movie as ‘Sankarabharanam’.

 Story:

Gautham (Nikhil Siddharth) spends his life happily in New York. He comes to India to sell his mothers property. He thinks to clear the debts of his father by selling a palace named ‘Shankarabharanam’. But, Gautham’s family members hate his mother since she married without their consent.

Gautham tries to sell that property with the help of his friend, Sapthagiri. But, he fails to do  it since he shares good relationship with his mother’s family members. In the mean time, a kidnap gang in Bihar comes to know about Gautham, who comes from America.

How Gautham managed to escape from them? Will he manage to sell that palace? Forms the rest of the story.

Artistes Performance:

Actor Nikhil impressed the audience with his new look and his comedy scenes are superb. He carried the role of a NRI well and his body language, dialogue delivery and screen presence have improved with this movie.

Actress Nanditha Raj looks beautiful and she carried out her role perfectly. She has given an honest performance and she is at her bubbliest best. Actress Anjali is apt for the lady gangster role. Her dance moves, expressions were superb.

30 Years Prudhvi steals the show as Percentage Parmesh and he did his role effortlessly. Actors Raghu Babu, Sapthagiri etc are at their best.

Plus Points:

Nikhil’s performance is the major plus of this movie

30 Years Prudhvi acting & hilarious comedy scenes are superb

The opening shots and the Bihar was shown in a good light

Kona Venkat’s trademark dialogues are good

Climax is impressive

Minus Points:

The first half of this movie was slow and dragging.

This movie should have been trimmed and some scenes have been needlessly dragged out.

Analysis:

Shankarabharanam is technically a strong film. Cinematography is excellent and it looks stylish. Background score is the highlight of this movie. It is fresh and suited the theme of the movie.

Uday Nandavanam did a decent job. This movie would have been so much better, with some care in the first half.
